It had led to the emergency of four major furniture styles (Chippendale, Adam, Hepplewhite and Sheraton) which are still conducted due to their simplicity, elegance, and their tendency of continuous production. This period is called the “Golden Era” in Britain, “Mahogany Period” because of the excessive usage of mahogany tree or "Period of the four elders".
